February 9, 2011, Fuse Arts will be in the CUB with coffee and cookies to raise money for San Jacinto Elementary! We’ll be there from 8:oo AM to 12:oo PM, just in time for your morning coffee and afternoon snack.

Coming up soon, Love button sale. We’re going to be making buttons to sell, Wednesday Feb 2nd, at 3pm, as well as Monday, Feb 7th, at the same time. The sale itself will be Wednesday, Feb 9th, from 8 to 12 by the clock (unless the frigid fronts force us elsewhere.) We will need any and all help we can get, so PLEASE email an officer if you can help us out!
The first San Jacinto Outreach is going to be Feb 23rd. Training for that will be on the 16th. Again, the more help we can muster, the better.

Hello minions. First, a huge thanks to everyone who came out today to help make our San Jacinto workshop amazing! It was a blast! If you’ve got an idea for our next workshop activity, we’d love to hear it! Stop by a meeting, shoot us an e-mail, whatever you have to do; just let us hear your great ideas! Speaking of meetings, we’ve got another one coming up tomorrow, Nov 4th, 12:45, Russ 112. Got some good stuff coming up. Pop in and get some details. If you’re not our friend on facebook yet, then shame on you. You should feel bad. Now stop feeling bad and go over to facebook and add us. that way, you can get updates on what sort of mischief we’ll be cooking up.

The sculptures are there, statuesque in the water, an army of people and their ideas, each frozen in an explicit moment of time. As separate entities, they are all in different stages of being, with different concerns, yet affecting each other and becoming a unified company. The expressions on their faces, their carriage and demeanor leave a thirst for the knowledge of their stories. But that is left up to you, the viewer’s, imagination. This project emanates beauty, especially in the surrender of its outcome to other forces and allowing it to simply be. Over time the sculptures will lose their original forms and becoming something new as they are enveloped by the ocean’s life and become part of the ambiance.

One of the things we will be discussing is logo designs. Fuse Arts needs a logo that we can use for posters, t-shirts, etc. If you have any ideas, get them on paper and bring them so we can vote on the official logo!
